Description:

The paper relates that student success programs are designed to ensure that children remain in school and achieve their high school diploma along with any secondary education they might choose later. The paper discusses how in Ontario, many far-reaching initiatives have been developed which in certain ways reflect the vision of Maria Montessori and her experiential education program which, especially for high school students, results in a fine balance between academic work and a field-based curriculum (Telluride 1). The paper notes that while it is not feasible to implement the infrastructure of experiential education across a province, the programs that are discussed in this paper do radically change the student's current education and future.
