From the Paper:

"Diversity is a business issue for us. It allows us to tap resources and opportunities that would certainly not be there otherwise. Diversity opens doors when you run a global business enterprise. Employees who are members of ethno-cultural groups help us in their countries of origin, because they are fully aware of cultural sensitivities and they know the business environment. It is so easy to lose a contract or a deal by committing a cultural faux pas. Managing across cultures is one of the most interesting challenges faced by a global company like ours. You can well imagine the complexity of this when you realize that even among people born and raised in the same culture, misunderstandings arise quite often; communications are not always perfect, even among people speaking the same language!"
