From the Paper:

"Intellectual Property is an aspect of modern business that is not only intrinsic to its operation, but in the least if not more important than the tangible inventory-based side. Without intellectual property there would be no brand, and without brand equity and recognition there would be a hegemony of products with no identifying factors. While this would potentially serve to decrease the overall cost of products, in the end, choice is what humanity wants. It is within the individuality allowed and protected through the existence of both intellectual property and its relevant laws that allows this presence of choice to exist, and more to be excitedly developed each day."
