This paper looks at the case study of a mid-sized pharmacy/ store in order to understand the intersectionality of employment at multiple levels. Layered identities of race, class, and gendered are considered in each of four positions of employment at the pharmacy in order to trace the biases built into the positions for hiring certain individuals instead of others.

"The worksite I will analyze in this paper is a pharmacy. There are several components of labor at a pharmaceutical worksite. There are one or more pharmacists who are required to dispense medication and discuss safe health and medicine practices with customers; there are clerks who handle the receipt of medical prescriptions, calls to doctors' offices and health insurance companies, and interactions with clients about the terms of service of the pharmacy; and in most pharmacies today there are cashiers as well as stock-people who handle customer relations and the stocking and ordering of over-the-counter medicines, medical devices, beauty supplies,..."
