The paper discusses how in today's increasingly competitive marketplace, organizations must operate as efficiently and effectively as possible to ensure competitive advantage. The paper relates that executing complex initiatives to further competitiveness oftentimes requires a breadth of knowledge and experience that can only be provided by teams made of diverse members, however, this diversity has a tendency to decrease collaboration, and therefore effectiveness and efficiency, on a team.
