The statute imposition of the death penalty from those crimes were stipulated from a guilty verdict from a jury. From 1912-1990, prisoners that were sentenced for death because of their specific crimes and were stationed on death row at Central Correctional Institution (CCI) in Columbia, South Carolina. Since 1912 there have been 269 executions ("South Carolina")."
