From the Paper:

"What is cancer? Cancer is used generically to describe over 100 diseases where the cells in the body mutate and grow out of control. There many different types of cancer that all begin the same way--abnormal cells mutate and grow out of control. When these cells are untreated they continue to grow out of control causing serious illness and eventually death ("What is Cancer?"). In the United States population one-third of all women and approximately half of the men are diagnosed with cancer at sometime throughout their life span. The greatest contributor to cancer is a person's lifestyle."
