From the Paper:"Trained early on by his father, King Philip, in politics and warfare, Alexander was given a vast knowledge in both. Philip was a warlord and a political genius. He took Macedonia from an insignificant province to be one of the most important powers in Greece. He then began liberating Greek city states in Asia Minor. Phillip was able to convey the whole of his knowledge and beliefs to Alexander. After Philips death, he also left Alexander his highly developed military force."
