From the Paper:
"In a study by Gehlbach (2010), the researcher indicated that teaching and knowledge are basically social ventures. In an attempt to recognize, explain, and foresee social behaviour, social psychologists have combined scores of theoretically grounded, essential principles. Yet, many principles have still need to be implemented to classrooms despite the social nature of these situations. Gehlbach (2010) illustrated in his article how new narrative concepts of social psychology play a significant role in improving teacher practices, abilities to encourage students, and capability to develop student knowledge on different subject matters. This article initially analyse three areas of social psychology which include social cognition, influence/opinion, and interpersonal relations. In addition, it demonstrated how social psychology principles from each domain could help the classrooms. Furthermore, two examples were used to display the effectiveness of past interventions that are implemented through social psychological principles. Ultimately, different tools were discussed to help teachers establish new social psychological concepts and functions."Social interactions are at the core of classroom knowledge and learning. As a result, attentive and new functions of social psychological principles were introduced, as they provide numerous permanent benefits to teachers and students, according to Gehlbach (2010). These functions are required in classrooms now more than ever. Gehlbach (2010) emphasized that consistent testing and high stakes accountability were needed to expand the dynamic field of social psychology. In general, teachers need to cover an extensive wideness of content while keeping the classrooms adequately motivated to preserve the information; simultaneously, if teachers want to arrange students for the type of integrative thinking that will be needed in many 21st century jobs. As the researcher argued, teachers will also need to assist students to develop complex understanding of social psychology from different perspectives."
