This paper provides an overview and analysis of Steven Vertovec's newly developed theory of 'super-diversity, as seen in the United Kingdom. The paper further discusses how the type and intensity of diversity in the United Kingdom has changed drastically in recent years. The discussion focuses on how this concept of super-diversity evolved and developed out of the British concept of multiculturalism and how super-diversity relates to or within the theory of multiculturalism.
