The paper discusses how in recent years, growing awareness about learning disabilities has helped more and more people with specific learning disorders succeed in post-secondary educational institutions and the work place (Li & Hamel, 2003). The paper posits that nevertheless, despite progress in this respect, much work remains to be done in order to provide people with learning disorders the best possible opportunities to succeed.
