Several laws have been amended throughout the years. The need for amendments may be illustrated by the tobacco industry. Numerous product liability lawsuits have been enacted over the years. There are enough claims to reveal the need for action. Tobacco companies should be shielded from product liability lawsuits for a variety of reasons.In order to fully understand the accusations tobacco companies face, a definition for product liability lawsuits must be gathered. The the initial term, product liability, provides a general definition for the term. Tobacco is the product that is being regarded in this instance. Each party associated with the manufacture of the product may be held responsible for the damages caused. (My Link) The previously mentioned parties may include the manufacturer of component parts, assembly manufacturers, wholesalers, and retail store owners. If the consumer of the product is harmed, the parties involved in manufacture may be the recepient of a product liability lawsuit."
