"In principle, the purpose of the NCLB approach to American educational reform was to reduce the learning gap between students from racial minority and economically disadvantaged communities and their counterparts from more privileged communities (Caillier, 2007). Certainly, the objectives of the NCLB program were laudable, but the conceptual framework was fatally flawed from the outset and instead of improving American public education, many educators believe it either achieved very little or even contributed further to the problem (Darling-Hammond, 2004; Mooney, 2005; Sonnenblick, 2008)."Sample of Sources Used:
