This paper contends that gay couples are perfectly capable of raising healthy children and looks at how gay-adoption is being portrayed by clinical experts as successful. The paper calls for society to accept these scientifically generated studies and favor gay adoption as a successful format of child rearing.

From the Paper:

"The role of gay couples presents some very interesting facts that support adoption under these conditions. In recent studies it has been shown that gay couples can raise a healthy child, and not be affected by the sexuality of the gay parents. A St. Petersburg Times editorial reveals:
"Through years of studies, we now know that children raised in gay households do not have a higher prevalence of homosexuality themselves and are about as happy and well-adjusted as those raised by heterosexual couples." (SPT Article)
"This shows that in Florida there is little need to keep a ban on gay couples that would like to adopt a child. The affects of studies have revealed that the parents do not make the child gay, and if so, this does not make adoption by gays a problem. In the case studies that have been done even the American Academy of Pediatrics makes their stance clear: gay couples can raise healthy children. An ABC.COM article reveals that AAP supports by:
"Citing estimates suggesting that as many as 9 million U.S. children have at least one gay parent, the academy urged its 55,000 members to take an active role in supporting measures that allow homosexual adoption. An academy report, based on related research, says "there's no existing data to support the widely held belief that there are negative outcomes" for children raised by gay parents, Hagan said. (ABC.Com Article)"
