This paper gives a narrative account of how the author became interest in architecture, which he describes as originating through studies of the architecture of computers. The author further notes that he was also influenced by exposure to one of the major ancient sites in his homeland, city of Bam in Iran, which is known as the ancient citadel of Arg-e Bam. From the Paper:"I came to my interest in architecture through studies of the architecture of computers, but I know that I was also influenced by exposure to one of the major ancient sites in my homeland, though a site not as well known to the rest of the world. That site is in the city of Bam in Iran and is known as the ancient citadel of Arg-AfA(c) Bam. This structure is more than 2000 years old and was abandoned in the eighteenth century because of an invasion from Afghanistan.
