From the Paper:"The purposes I want to focus on as a teacher are developing knowledge, developing character, and building relationships. Every day in my classroom I will work toward two particular goals. The first goal will be to help my students further understand what they already know. To help my students further understand, I will review what they have already learned and ask open-ended questions to see what they already know, then try to fill in the blanks. The second goal will be to teach my students something new. I will do this by developing a good curriculum, and by using effective teaching strategies. The second purpose of mine will be to develop my students' character. I will do this by being a role model for my students. I will be honest and respectful to them, and have the expectations that they will act the same to me. Furthermore, I will expect my students to treat their classmates as they would like to be treated themselves. This brings me to my third purpose that is building relationships. By expecting the students to treat their classmates with respect, my students will build good relationships with those around them."
