`UNACCUSTOMED AS I AM..." There is no more important issue among people than being able to communicate well. We have the example of Demosthenes with rocks in his mouth walking along the shore to improve his speech. There is Cyrano de Bergerac, standing in for a lovelorn hero to whisper sweet nothings to Roxanne. We have learned in history books about the persuasive public speeches of politicians like Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. And, we are getting examples of debate techniques from current political candidates for the 2008 election. That's well and good for history and fiction. But, what about my personal speaking ability?
