From the Paper:"The Great Game of Life (GGOL) is the model that many companies are using to be effective and see extraordinary results. The model has been used globally within corporate and business organizations. The Great Game of Life model represents the expedition that an individual and an organization take to achieve the goals that have been set (Wilson, 2009). The object of The Great Game of Life is to allow companies to readapt and restructure to better meet the organization needs. This model is useful when the company or organization is economically stable (Wilson, 2009).
"Objective of the program: The Great Game of Life is a program that looks at a company in its entirety. It observes all the impacts on the business and the operations. The definition of the program varies with each organization and the complexity of the manners of the company. The GGOL program uses certain elements to increase the organizational value (Wilson, 2009). Elements such as customer satisfaction, and improvement of shareholder relations and manufacturing increase are some of the elements that are involved in the improvement of the company. The need for consistency in the Game of Life program is not only crucial but also valid. The program is a overhaul culture change for all aspects of the company.
"In the specific case of Simmons, the Great Game of Life "was based on a business model that says profitable organizational growth is a result of satisfied and loyal customers; a committed, cooperative and creative organizational culture; and a leadership team that empowers and serves the workforce," (Casciaro, 2007). The main goal of the Game of Life program is to help re-create a profitable organization.
"The mattress company is facing conditions that are dangerousto the productivity level and profit levels. Both levels are not only being threatened by the company's conditions but also the weakening economy. In this instance it is important to for the organization to set priorities. The number one priority for the company is to overcome the production and sales obstructions and renovate the steadiness within the organization."
