Some researchers think that it is a wonderful phenomenon that will lead to economic prosperity. Other researches believe that it will result in economic, social, environmental and political degradation. One aspect of globalization that many researchers are interested in is the relationship between globalization and colonialism. In particular they are interested in whether globalization fits into a post-colonial framework or if it is a textbook example of neo-colonialism.
