Furthermore, Microsoft has thrived in programming languages, as well as numerous other software categories (Hutchinson pg). Its outstanding success is due to fitting IBM PCs with DOS in 1981 and non-IBM PCs with MS-DOS. Microsoft's leadership was cemented in 1990 with the creation of Windows3.0 and later Windows 95 (Hutchinson pg)."
