This paper asserts that students with learning disabilities will get a positive assessment if they are taught with appropriate strategies. In addition to the fundamental concept of providing more attention and observation, teachers of students with learning disabilities must also use other strategies that aid comprehension. This paper outlines those strategies.
From the Paper:"Teaching a subject like social studies can be extremely exciting because it is a subject that is directly linked to everyone, no matter what one's background is. Ordinarily, simple reading from a textbook with question and answer sessions may be employed, as the subject is interesting enough to lure students into this practice, but there are still better strategies that may be employed. With a class that holds children with learning disabilities there is greater need to employ strategies that aid comprehension."
