Description:
This paper explains that the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) combined with other teaching methods has been a successful part of the learning process in various learning institution; therefore, this study investigates the benefits of using ICT as teaching methods in adult education. Next, the author describes the quantitative methodology used to study this case of ICT in the teaching of English to non-commissioned Greek army officers. The paper presents the complete findings of the research study including that ICT increases the appeal of English language among these adult learners and that teachers report that ICT is a stimulating alternative way of delivering their subject content to their adult learners.

"The Non-Commissioned Officers School of the Hellenic Army comprises 400 students who are aged between the age of 18 and 20 years. These adult students have military and academic training like, for instance, they are well trained in gymnastics and advanced Mathematics. There is therefore dire need for them to learn English Language as a subject to supplement their other training in other fields to make them serve better in various parts of the world. Besides the School of the Hellenic Army having the highest combined pool of adult students, the centre also has learners coming from diverse cultures and ages and it offers other courses besides English Language as a subject."Sample of Sources Used:
