Jung was the child of two highly-educated, first-generation immigrants from China who moved to the United States in order to provide their children with better educational opportunities (Andrea Jung, 2008). Her parents instilled a strong work ethic in her children, which Jung embraced at an early age, earning high marks throughout her early education and going on to graduate with a BA from Princeton University in 1979 (Andrea Jung, 2008). From there, she began a remarkable career in management."
