"Both articles emphasize the importance of the individual, however the Bailey and Clarke article focuses more heavily on the benefit to the organization from the individuals development, the Beijerse article is more general in terms of knowledge within all aspects of the workplace, analyzing the structure, strategy and culture. Many other authors have analyzed the contribution of individuals knowledge to the benefit of an organization, "brings together business processes, as well as the activities, skills and expertise of individuals within the business."
