This paper compares the Mexican revolution starting in 1910, the Guatemalan revolution of 1944-1954, and the Cuban revolution of 1959 to the present day. The paper asserts that the Guatemalan Revolution should likely be considered a democratic revolution, the Mexican revolution was semi-democratic, only developing a fully competitive democracy about a decade ago, and the Cuban revolution remains defiantly not democratic.
