Description:

The paper compares and contrasts two distinctive works of modern institutional architecture - the Sharp Centre for Design in Toronto (Will Alsop, architect) and the School for Art and Art History in Iowa City (Steven Holl, architect) - and relates that one is struck by both the similarities and the differences between the buildings and their contexts.
