"AT&T Corporation is in a very powerful position within the market of communications, with their domination relatively secured, as will be discussed. The structure of the communications market is one of conglomerates, with only a handful of companies holding the majority of the power, and clients, within the country. Amongst some of the competitors are Verizon, Sprint, and at one time Cingular, which as will be discussed has been done away with.
"The technological space within which AT&T operates is primarily that of communication, with the provision of internet, telephone, cable, and mobile telephone services being their primary sources of revenue and areas of expertise. The prices of AT&T's products are competitive with the market, in that their services and products are priced comparatively to their competitors; however superiority in either price or quality is of course the intention and aim of the company. In order to guarantee the superiority of AT&T in the wireless space, a strategic move was made."
