From the outset, secondary based research will be conducted so as to ascertain the level of competition and key trends and statistics within the industry. Secondary research methods may also help to reveal other key aspects about the potential characteristics of users of the service such as the demographic makeup of the population, socio economic class and income level of potential customers. Such data will be gathered largely through a process of searching online journals and journalistic sources such as the business and trade press. Such data will be used to aid the development of key aspects of the marketing mix such as considering how to design and distribute promotional material and advertising efforts."
