This paper gives and analysis and description of "The story of Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa" which is about how the author was treated as a slave in his own country, and then to be taken to America where he was treated as merchandise without human feelings. Additionally, the paper points out how the way the slaves were treated eventually led to a deadly voyage. In this story, it tells why slaves often died and why many of them wanted to die.
