From the Paper:"The article reviewed for this assignment was Cross-cultural Effects on IQ Test Performance: A Review and Preliminary Normative Indications on WAIS-III Test Performance (Shuttleworth-Edwards et al., 2004). The article discusses the significant impact that quality of education, in regards to various ethnic groups and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third Edition or WAIS-III (Wechsler, 1997), has on intelligence testing. Specifically, the authors of the article examine intelligence testing results between three different types of educational and cultural cohorts in South Africa. These three student groups are: (i) black South Africans in traditional universities run by and for black Africans; (ii) black South Africans in elite universities (traditionally run by English whites); and (iii) English white students in these same elite universities."
