Tobacco smoking is a grave health threat to the world population, and without immediate action, the situation will escalate to alarming proportions. The paper states that with cancer and cardiac diseases on the increase, the negative impact of tobacco is plainly obvious. It argues that, going by the statistical data, it is pretty clear that immediate, positive intervention is required to contain the harmful effects of tobacco addiction.
