Description:

This paper argues against the potential practice of human cloning. First, it describes the practice of cloning and how it's almost been scientifically perfected. According to the paper, some people believe that cloning technology should be vigorously developed, as it offers an enormous potential to cure diseases and so reduce human suffering. However, this paper contends that this potential benefit is outweighed by the massive potential ethical problems.

From the Paper:

"Cloning offers the prospect of scientists being able to create "a new individual genetically identical to an existing (or previously existing) person - a `delayed' genetic twin" (National Bioethics Advisory Commission, i). The science to do this has almost been perfected. Some people believe that cloning technology should be vigorously developed, as it offers an enormous potential to cure diseases and so reduce human suffering. However, this essay will argue that this potential benefit is outweighed by the massive potential ethical problems. Therefore, it will be argued that cloning of human beings should be outlawed worldwide."
