Then I will analyse two of his most famous performances. "Layla" is from his 1970 recording, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs with Derek and the Dominoes, which was released on the Polydor label. This analysis will be followed by a look at "Cocaine," from his 1977 solo album, Slowhand, which was also issued by Polydor. Finally, I will conclude with some discussion of his career after the 1970s and his influence on musicians working today."
