The paper discusses the reinforcement strategies of continuous reinforcement, positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement as they can be applied in team members' organizations. The paper points out the differences between these strategies, their different results and the shortcomings of each one. The paper concludes that continuous reinforcement would possibly yield the best productivity, but positive reinforcement may yield the best results with minimal repercussions.

"Organizations utilize a variety of elements to remain productive. However, some elements work better than others. Reinforcement strategies provide an exemplification of this. Several organizations use the strategies respectively. The results rendered vary. Some assist the organizations and others may hinder the organization. Nevertheless, reinforcement strategies may be applied in team member organizations in order to increase productivity.
"Reinforcement strategies may be defined outside of the workplace. Reinforcement theories attempt to change a person's behavior (Lawrence, 1962). This is accomplished through reinforcement punishment or extinction. Desired behavior is reinforced by rewards (Lawrence, 1962). Behavior that is undesired is prevented by punishments. In an attempt to stop someone from partaking in a learned behavior, extinction is used (Lawrence, 2962). According to Lawrence , "Positive reinforcement occurs when the consequence resulting in the behavior you are attempting to produce increases the probability that the desired behavior will continue (Lawrence, 1962)." In contrast, "Negative reinforcement occurs when a negative consequence is withheld if the behavior you desire is demonstrated, which will increase the probability that the behavior you are seeking will continue (Lawrence, 1962)."
