"This paper explores the epic poetry of John Milton in "Paradise Lost", describing the events of the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. This story is often regarded as one that describes how Eve was able to manipulate Adam, causing the world to change for the worse. However, a closer analysis of the story shows that this is not the meaning at all. Instead, it is a story of a man and a woman being who they are and shows how their natural qualities made the fall inevitable. The paper includes a close analysis of some of the critical passages in the poem.
