Description:

This paper looks at the ethics of Friedrich Nietzsche by applying them to a case in which a young woman stole a laptop because she needed a laptop to successfully complete her education. As a philosophy student, the individual in question is well-acquainted with the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and his most controversial concepts - such as the will to power, perspectivism, and the notion of herd morality. Over the next several pages, it is argued that the theft of the laptop was actually ethically and morally defensible because it was an act of defiance against the out-worn Christian morality that imposes constraints upon talented, ambitious people who should be allowed to do that which is in their best interests.
