In this paper, the writer discusses that the nature of multi-religious policy in modern China has its limitations, even though it provides an exterior tolerance toward religions, such as Christianity. The writer maintains however, that these guidelines are not often followed and the only foreign religious tolerance that is accepted nut be registered with the government. This creates an isolationist form of religious tolerance, which does not include foreign members of any particular world religion.
