"After the fall of the Roman Empire, city planning and development fell dormant - an unfortunate turn of events. However, in the Middle Ages, urban planning re-asserted itself and began an upward climb that proceeded through the Renaissance and Baroque periods. With that in mind, the following paper will briefly discuss the evolution of urban planning/practice, methods and traditions, during these three periods.
