Description:

This paper examines the ethical practices of the Public Mind Health Clinic and discusses the services it provides to its patients. The paper also includes a mission statement of the clinic and explains how the goals outlined in their mission statement meet the broad range of practical standards for ethical professional practices, as outlined by the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, and the National Association of Social Workers.

From the Paper:

"The mission statement of the public mind health clinic is "to provide the community with the highest quality in psychological care, available when needed, as needed, with all in need being helped." This mission is important in that it is in keeping with the concept of nonmaleficence, in that the denial of psychological care to an individual due to a lack of capacity to pay may ultimately hurt them. To maintain the ethical behavior of the company, the American Counseling Association's ethical policies will be adhered to. The American Counseling Association works towards enhancing the quality of life overall in society, by promoting and advancing the quality of counselors and their profession to promote respect for human dignity. (ACA 2)"
