From the Paper:"My careers thus far have opened my eyes - and strengthened my adaptability - in several ways. To wit, I am a licensed investment representative in the banking industry and I have an Associates Degree in Science and a Bachelor of Science in liberal studies - with three concentrations. Those three are Nursing, Psychology, and Sociology.
"I have also been a business owner, a manager, a planner and an organizer - all of which have given me skills and an invaluable perspective, allowing me to visualize the positive impact I want to have for others in this world.
"Everything I have done, in the fields I have worked, has led me here, on the threshold of a worthy and exciting career in rehabilitation counseling. As an LPN I have witnessed the need for quality counseling and moreover I have seen need to simply lift people's spirits up with a kind word and a smile to help them tackle the tasks that threaten to beat them down.
"I have an enormous amount of empathy, understanding, and compassion for others, in particular for those with special needs. When I complete my Master's degree - a stimulating, holistic and integrated program at Texas-Pan American - my chosen career path will open up for me."
