Poem

A poem is much the same as any creative piece of writing. Unlike the traditional essay however, the aim of a poem is to express a thought, emotion, idea or experience to the audience. A poem can take many different forms, but usually consists of a series of statements metaphorically crafted to reveal a certain internal imagery to the reader. The poem should leave the reader questioning the author's purpose and cause them to draw conclusions from their own life experiences.
