From the Paper:

"When considering the role of juveniles, particularly females, in today's society, it is apparent that there are many challenges to be faced. Within these challenges are choices which must be made, leading towards a life of legality, while at times the pressures of life may lead elsewhere. The pressure of being socially accepted places many youth at times face-to-face with decisions which could change their lives. Not only being aware of such at-risk behaviors, but educated, is an absolute necessity in the prevention of such at-risk behaviors or delinquency, as without knowing the proper way to do things, it cannot be expected they will be performed as such. Armed with the tools of knowledge and education, at-risk behavior may be prevented prior to its turning to delinquency. While female youths in particular are the focus of this particular study, the precepts and mechanisms of the various types and providers of prevention and treatment are relatively constant across the sexes, as prevention and education are universally useful."
