Description:

In this narrative essay, the author first describes his basic system for selecting a movie. According to the paper, this system is not complex, since the author relies on either Internet film reviews or the opinions of movie theater workers. Then, the author discusses his rating system. This is followed by some reviews of movies the author recently saw, such as the bio-drama "Ray." Additionally, the paper mentions some movies that the author didn't like and would not recommend to friends. The paper returns to an extensive discussion about the film "Ray" and different reviews it received. The paper concludes with the author noting that his film rating and that of the critics was quite similar.

From the Paper:

"Testing my rating system again, I estimate the movie If Only directed by Gil Junger as one of the five star rated films. This genre of the movie is an emotional romance. There are many elements to prove this movie as five stars. First of all, the important background of the movie makes me more concentrate especially the fall weather in London. The fall weather and the space background of London give it a dramatic effect. Furthermore, the time background of only one day showed more suspense than other romance films. The storyline was also well constructed; it does not have any dull moment especially the supernatural experience. Ian Wyndham played by actor Paul Nicholls showed the unwavering love to Samantha Andrew, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. Most of all, as I estimate this movie gets extra point for overall good effect. I saw the movie with my ex-girlfriend in the fall of 2004; the day after she had to leave the United States for Korea because of a job offer. During the movie, I felt that I was the main character and I regretted that I did not do well with her."
