Customer demands concomitantly change on a very regular and rapid basis, making companies either obsolete or absurdly successful nearly overnight. Kodak's history appears to suggest that the company's flair for innovation and its connection to customer demands is what made it successful since 1888. Perhaps Mr. Antonio Perez's confidence, both in himself and in his new capacity as chief executive of Kodak, is not as misplaced as some shareholders fear."
