Rather than narrowly inveighing against political correctness, perhaps it must be acknowledged that there is no singular definition of what constitutes the body of knowledge all educated individuals must know. There is only an attitude of tolerance and broadmindedness all individuals must adopt, whether they are pursuing a highly specific technical degree, or enjoying the 'useless' pursuits of the liberal arts that focus upon learning for the sake of learning but may prove applicable in many professional contexts."
