This paper explains that Stephen P. Robbins in his textbook "Organizational Behavior" uses unique methods of presentation: (1) At the beginning of each chapter, the different words the student should be able to define and explain after study of the chapter and (2) the salient points, which must be understood to accomplish the definition and explanation phase of the chapter and, (3) at the end of each chapter, his "Point-Counter-point" summations. The author points out that the introduction of "Learning Objectives" in this edition removes Robbins' audience from the casual reader looking to be informed as well as entertained; however, for the psychologist, sociologist, social psychologist and other professionals, the change makes for much easier and faster reading. The paper stresses that, the true test of any textbook is its applications in the real world; Dr. Robbins' works have conclusively proven themselves to be applicable as in the cases of the Consolidated Diesel Company, which was formed as a joint venture, and of the Saturn Motor Company.

"Early organizational psychologists concerned themselves with problems of fatigue, boredom, and any other factors relevant to working conditions that could impede efficient work performance. In the 8th Edition however Robbins goes on to explain the more recent contributions of Organizational Psychologists as they have expanded their outlooks to include learning, perception, personality, training, supervision, selection testing, leadership effectiveness, needs and motivational forces, job satisfaction or the lack thereof, performance appraisals, attitude measurement, and general shaping of behavior among organizational members to facilitate repetition of desirable behaviors."
