The major difference though, is the outcome for the two characters, with Juliet's love leading to her tragic death, and Hermia's leading to a happy ending. This difference is related not to the qualities of each character, but to their roles in the play, and to the type of play each character is part of. These similarities and differences will now be considered in more detail."
