During the 20th century, this impact has been the most significant in shaping worldwide culture. Although there have been many benefits associated with the increase in technology, some of those so-called benefits are questionable while other effects are downright objectionable. The worst result of widespread technological implementation lies in its unseen, unconscious programming of the psyche, limiting human freedom, and likening it to an invisible form of totalitarianism."
