"Yonay believes that too many ?practitioners? have ?biases? which are nearly similar, as regards the past and how economists describe the past. He mentions the broad trends that emerged during the Neoclassical Era ? supply and demand, marginal utility, historicism, and institutionalism ? all which had important impacts on economists during that era. Alfred Marshall was considered, Yonay says, the leader in economic thought (as a member of the Cambridge School, which he established). In fact, Yonay calls Marshall ?the quintessentially neoclassical economist who put the new marginalism in order,? linked it to previous teachings, and ?wrote the basic textbook that constituted the cornerstone of economic training worldwide.?
