In conclusion, the paper shows that today, the reality of global warming is becoming more accepted and the new question is what can be done about it, and this is a promising development for the future of intersections between climate science and politics.

Climate change, especially in the United States, is a major political issue argued with fervor and passion from both sides of the apparent debate. What is so intriguing about this political furor is the fact that the scientific community has largely come to a resounding consensus that not only is global warming real, but also that it is largely anthropogenic in origin."
